Aspen trees: cattle/deer trial

The dense stand of aspen in the background shows what happens when both cattle and deer have been excluded [with a high fence]. The enclosure in the right foreground [with a low fence] excluded cattle but not deer. It shows how deer alone can prevent growth of aspen. It is similar to where both cattle and deer had access, as shown in the left foreground.
